RE: vista xp networking I assumed that you got the Access Denied message when you attempt to access a
specific folder on the XP machine, from the Vista machine.
When you create a share, you are required to provide permission to users who
are allowed to access the share. The permission settings can be configured on
the 'Sharing' tab in the folder properties window, through the 'Permissions'
button.
To make things simple, you can allow permission to 'Everyone' with 'Read'
priviledge. This can be remove after you have completed the required task.
