Re: Connnectivity only in Vista

It may be something that is totally off-base, but when you switch from one
O/S to the other are you turning the machine completely off (power-off) or
are you re-starting? Also, when in XP, if you attempt a "Repair" of your
network connection, what happens?

I recently installed Vista build #5384. It was placed onto my system to be
a
2nd boot option. I am running XP on the C drive and Vista on a seperate
partition. Where as some people have been having the problems with Vista
not
connecting to the net but XP working fine. My problem is just the opposite.
I am running cable modem and a router on my system, both Linksys devices.
When I boot into XP I have no connectivity to the router or modem when I
undo
the router. However when boot into Vista the connectivity returns and I
have no problems getting out. I have been through Vista quite a bit trying
to see if there is a setting that might be blocking XP from the connection
but to no avail. Is there something I am missing that is not allowing both
of these O/S's to connect as normal?
