Hi, Glory.

In addition to what Bob and Rick said, don't let anything write anything to
that hard drive! Or, at least, not to that partition.

If it's your only drive, you may have no choice. But every time anything is
written to it, there is the definite risk that it will write over the files
that you would like to recover. Even the housekeeping that the computer
does when booting up and shutting down involves disk writes, and you have no
control over where data is written. The less that drive is used, the better
your chances of recovery
