This happened because of a malware and possibly a trojan virus Trojan.zlob.M
I used
- Norton to clean that trojan,
- Adware and Spybot to clean up some 300 Spywares/Malware.
- On a fresh run of the above s/w no virus/malware are reported.

I restart the vista, and again this annoying popups come in.

I also tried to restore to an earlier point, but even that doesnt work,
It says System cannot restore to the chosen point, please choose another
restore
poiint. I did that too but no use, this popups never cease.

I cannot get into control panel to chec for reports 'coz explorer closes that
window !

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ravi
Hi Ravi,

You might try booting from you Vista installation disk and choose the "Repair Installation" option. Just follow along from there.

However since it was a virus infection, I would recommend to format and reinstall Vista clean. It is the only true way of knowing it is clean of a Virus.

Sorry,
Shawn
