You say "I never recieved my beta key" and then you say "Anyway, I can
recover my key".
If you didn't write down your product key, and didn't get the email, then
you can't install Windows Vista. And it is too late to get another product
key, the cut off was June 30.
If you can "recover" your product key, then do it. Then you can install
Windows Vista, and you should not have a problem activating it.
