PF defrags whenever you want, like every day or every 2 days, but informs you how your system files are.
I am not 100% sure, but I think the DK auto defrag mode should automatically defrag all the files that can be defragged when windows is running. If you schedule a boot-time defrag, DK will defrag your system files too (those that cannot be defragged when Windows is running). You can also set the $MFT defrag in the configuration options.
I think you can email DK or PD customer support for your specific questions before you buy. Better to confirm that your requirements are met before you spend your money!
