Alias's Wisdon and Civility

Alias, the Marketing Department for Ubuntu. That is why he hangs out in the
vista.general group, Just FYI :-)

I'll even help you when MS goes out of business and you need to learn
Ubuntu ;-)

Sick of this crap? Try Ubuntu, an Open Source OS. It's free. www.ubuntu.com

You're lamely trying to trot out a straw man. Please. If everyone adopts
Linux, no pirates for sure ;-)

Alias

Like I said, if you don't like my posts, don't read them. You will not
stop me. Ubuntu only has one Usenet group but it has a lot of other
forums that are not Usenet.

No can do as that would reveal my location. I gave Frank enough of a
hint to find out what he wants to know. El Corte Ingles has stores all
over Spain. He can call any one of them and ask if one would be allowed
to play with Vista and see how it goes on line.

Ball. Your court or STFU.

Alias

Ain't it wonderful to be forced to act as a cop for Microsoft,
especially when its ineffective and flawed software says that you, the
paying customer, are a pirate?

If you're tired of this crap, why don't you check out Open Source. It's
free with no activation, no becoming "genuine", no worry about viruses
or other malware if you have a hard router firewall. Not only that, it's
free and can be copied and installed on as many computers as you like.
Check out www.ubuntu.com and www.pclinuxos.com and advance to a real
operating system.

I've been to South Central LA. Have you? Fortunately, I speak Spanish.
That said, being as I live in Spain, your suggestion that I "peddle
Ubuntu" there is absurd. I have convinced a friend who lives outside of
LA, though. She's switched all three of computers from XP on two and
from Vista, on one, to Ubuntu.

Alias

Ubuntu upgrades are totally painless. If you're a business, you back up
your data. Installing a new version of Ubuntu is a nice walk in the park
compared to Windows which could be likened to taking a walk in South
Central LA at 3AM on a Sunday morning.

Alias

I'm using Ubuntu right now and it's wonderful. Solid as a rock.

Alias

Supposedly, you can reactivate Vista as many times as you like. Course,
it usually involves calling India and speaking to a real person to get
it done.

Alias

I'm not an expert on Linux or Windows. No one is. That's the group I go
to for help and, so far, it has been very helpful. If you want to post
as me and post "correctly", change your nick to "Alias" and have a go at it.

Alias

Maybe this will help: Vista *is* a virus. Get it now, Mr Mensa (LOL!)?

Alias

God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son". Abe said, "Man, you must be
puttin' me on!" God said "No!" Abe said "What?" God said you can do
anything you want but the next time you see me comin', you better run!"
Abe said, "Where you want this killing done?" God said, "Highway 61".

Alias

Ahem, read for content if it's at all possible. I wrote, and I quote,
VISTA has less than 5% of the market

Alias

Very diplomatic of you. Most home users would be better off with Ubuntu.
We would have a lot less herd-bots that way. Course, repair techs
would have less Windows boxes to clean up ...

Alias

I'm always happy to clear things up for people who make unfounded
assumptions.

Alias

And Outhouse Express doesn't correct your spelling while you type ;-)

Alias

Linux *has* its act together.

Now, more insults:

Alias

You really are scared sh¡tless like Microsoft that there will be an en
mass move to Ubuntu, aren't you? What's the matter; are you scared you
will lose all those customers of yours that need all the crap removed
from their Windows sieves?

Alias

Skip ...

Do you also believe in Santa, the Tooth Fairy and that Trolls guard
bridges? How about the Easter Bunny?

Playing the boorish buffoon again today, eh? You do it sooooooooooo well!

Alias

I have found that all my queries in the various Linux groups were
replied very well and not with "Google it" or "RTFM" like happens so
many times in MS groups.
