Re: spyware

Hello Mick - Just downloaded "free" Spybot from their own site. These were the
results -
First - My computer started making a crackling sound that didn't sound
healthy.
Then when it was installed I started scan which turned up 85 something or
others that it recommended removing.
I had to use ALT/F4 to stop their popups which wouldn't go away by any other
means.
Then I was directed to a registration form which charges a one time fee of
$19.95.
So I have to pay $19.95 for "free" anti-spyware. What gives? Wayne
