I am using a Belkin F5D7001uk with Version 2 firmware wireless network PCI
card connecting to a Belkin ADSL router. In the past all my networked PC's 3+
1 Laptop have connected staticaly using 192.168.2.1-6 under win XP. Recently
rolled out Vista to a PC but now getting major network issues. The network
card is supposed to use native drivers. However I get very unstable wireless
connetion to the vista PC. I have attempetd to use DHCP as well as static to
resolve the issue but not succesful. When I enter a static ip address on the
vista PC it keeps it for a few minutes then loses the Static IP address which
means I have to reconfigure the network IP address. This is not unique to
this card. I have swapped the card with one in an xp machine namely a DLink
DWL-G520. This too had the same results.
Am I missing something? I need to file share within my LAN as well as have
internet access. I am back to using the Belkin F5D7001UK version2 with Vista
and the Broadcom 802g wireless card driver native to vista however I still
keep losing the LAN IP address.
