RE: Can't Install My Printer HELPPPPPP!

It's not Vista's fault. It has to do with the fact that Co's like HP are
trying to make an extra Buck off this whole Vista thing by no supporting
their Hardware.
I have a Photosmart 8450 Printer and a Scanjet 4890 Scanner. I could only
get the Printer to run as a Generic Printer at first. When I went to HP's
website to customer support I really got mad. After going through all the
clicking and crap when I was finished, HP recomended buying a more up to Date
Printer, NO DRIVERS!
I sent a very nasty e-mail about this and never got a reply.
I had a very imprtant deadline for a customer and because of this I had to
go out and buy another Printer. I purchased an Epson and it worked flawless
from the get go. As for the Scanner, same problem and same answer on their
website, untill about 2 Weeks ago. HP has finally got some drivers up for
some Printers and Scanners. My Scanner now wroks well but the Drivers for my
Printer SUCK.
I almost purchased the new HP Photosmart B9180, what a waste of Money that
would have been because it doesn't even have Vista support out of the Box.
I have to thank HP for making me look around for alternate Printer chioces.
In the past I've grown to respect and love HP Printers and Scanners. Since
being forced to chose something else I was introduced to Epson's fine line of
Printers.
Thanks HP for getting me to look elswhere. Because of You I'm going to buy
the Epson Stylus Photo R2400 instead...

Sorry for the rant. Try going back to HP's site and see if they've updated
their driver page to support your Printer. They're updating it Daily but you
still might get the suggestion to purchase a different Printer. I don't think
I'll ever get over HP's attitude twards driver support. Telling me to trash a
$500 Printer and replace it with a $120 Printer, come on Guys...
