RE: 512 mb video card -> vista user experience 1.0 -?? How much RAM do you have?
512MB video card can eat 1GB of RAM as a buffer area.
Normally, video RAM addresses are assigned above the 3MB boundary, but
depending on display settings, buffering of 512MB video RAM is enough to eat
below that boundary interfering with other key operations.
Try setting to lower parameters and retest the WEI.
Second, this is most likely an Nvidia card since they are about the only
ones supporting DirectX10. Nvidia's drivers to date have had issues with
Vista. Make sure you have the latest non-beta drivers.
