I am, at the moment, using Microsoft's OneCare (came free with my purchase of
Vista) and have had NO problems at all on my Vista Ultimate x86.

I use Avast (free) on my Vista Business x64 also with no problems.

Other users like AVG (also free), and I have read very good things about NOD 32
(not free).

In any event, e-mail scanning should be turned OFF in any anti-virus program as
it is redundant and provides no real benefit
