I assume the drive recognises DVDs otherwise, for instance movie DVDs. (I have a problem where my DVD writer doesnt recognise DVDs at all but does recognise CDs, etc...

)
I'll email you a set of drivers if you can provide me with your email address(I tried attaching it here but the upload failed!). This software has helped lots(I mean lots!!!) of people. Install it and then try using the UDF format DVDs.
Something I should have asked earlier: are you running a 64-bit version of Vista?
