RE: Vista network sharing I think that's part of the Vista's User Account Control. I recall reading
something when I set up my network for file and printer sharing that users
have to have passwords. However, I think it will accept a blank as the
password if you don't have one associated with you user name. I removed the
password associated with my user account (administrator) and I don't have any
problem opening workgroup computers on the network for file or printer
sharing. Try just filling in your user name and leaving the password blank
and click OK.
