Re: product key You may getting the message because your installation choice. If your Home
Premium DVD is an Upgrade DVD, then the Install has to start from your
Desktop, i.e., after you've booted into Windows. If, instead, you booted
directly from an Upgrade DVD, to start the Install, Activation won't accept
your key.
