Re: Too Many Memory Hard Errors

Hi Tony,

Hard memory errors are problems in the manipulation of the virtual or
physical memory, not the hard drive itself. While some physical memory is
reserved for the system processes, excessive paging such as you describe can
indicate an insufficient amount of installed memory for the programs you are
running, or that the programs in use are set to allocate a large number of
pages while in use.

The first thing I would do is run the memory diagnostic tool to see if there
is a hardware issue with the physically installed ram. Second, check with
the software vendors as to the recommended amount of memory to have
installed on the system to run the program effectively.
