Re: how to prevent found new hardware wizard? Actually it might play out more like this. You'll right-click the device
name and choose Properties. At the bottom of the General tab set device
usage to "Do not use (disable)". Otherwise if you set it to uninstall then
don't physically remove the device, Windows will just try to reinstall it
again. Which means the Found New Hardware wizard appears.
