I just got my new computer & Vista. My provider informed me that the e-mail error I get back :

> Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
> Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

is at present time caused by all anti virus software, because they don't support (yet) the new "SSL" security protocole.

Keep on using Microsoft Mail, write your e-mails, then temporarily turn off the anti virus protection until the e-mails are out of your box, turn it back on again.

I was told to be patient, eventually the patches will be supplied by your anti virus company.

The SSL protocol id the next generation, most providers are gradually stopping the other protocol, everyone who uses Vista and Microsoft Mail will have to switch, soon or later.
