right click the desktop>color and appearance>open classic color and
appearance properties for more color options then choose windows aero and
apply, also after you have done that go to theme in personalization home and
rather than choosing windows vista choose "my current theme" or "modified
theme" and then click apply this should work although if you have a startup
program that is not compatible with windows aero that could be the reason why
it always starts using "classic" windows color. I ran into this problem with
yahoo site builder and as most of us know divx web player also does this, but
if the problem persists I would check to see if you have a startup program
that isn't compatible with windows aero you could try by using selective
startup start>run>msconfig>enter>selective startup>selective startup and/or
services and disabling one program at a time or using task
manager>services>services and changing anything other than necessary services
to manual rather than automatic although you shouldn't do more than one at a
time to find the problem and you should be very careful as to what you do
because you could disable something that your os needs to run
