I've read all the posts regarding Windows Mail and not found the answer.

When I open an email message in the most inept version of Outlook Express
ever devised, Windows Mail, I am not able to follow any link within the
email. Each click on a link results in an error message that reads:

"http://whatever_the_link_address_is.ext" then "Application not found."

I have ensured that the phishing options are unchecked. I have IE7 as my
default browser (it's the only browser). I have the images unblocked in HTML
emails. My security level is just below medium as I am the only user on the
computer and don't need to worry about someone going to an unknown website.

These links are accessible on a separate computer using Outlook Express and
Outlook 2003. These links are accessible using Sign Up - My Yahoo! (AT&T email
on the web after it bought out sbc, which bought out snet).

The only email program that will not permit access to the links is Windows
Mail.

(No, I am not interested in downloading another free email software because
I have a free one that should work considering the cost of the whole package.)
