Permissions problem

I need to remove some entries in the Vista registry due to an error in
installing my Kodak EasyShare 5500 printer. I am the only person using
this computer, and supposedly I am the Administrator (at least, that
what it says under "USERS"). However, when I try to remove the values
from the registry, I get an error that says "Can not delete <name of
item>. Error while deleting key". I also get "Access is denied" errors
when I try to open some folders in the registry. Any ideas as to why I
can not remove these values from the registry? I have also tried to
change permissions on the values I need to remove, but all those changes
have been denied.
Am I not the Administrator, or has Microsoft somehow hidden somewhere
that one needs to be an uber-Adminstrator in order to do anything?
Thanks in advance.
