Re: Permissions problem O.K., solved part of the problem. I clicked on START, and in the "START
SEARCH" area, I typed cmd. I opened cmd with admin rights (right click
cmd and click RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR). At the command prompt, I typed:
net user administration /active:yes
I then restarted the computer. Once rebooted, I had access to the real
admin account, and cleared out enough of the registry entries so that I
could reinstall almost all of the Kodak Easyshare 5500 program and all
the drivers (I could not remove a handful of registry values (access
denied, which I found interesting since I thought I should have been
able to remove them), but at least I got the drivers installed so I
could use the printer. Once finished, I rebooted and entered my regular
account, went back to the command prompt and typed:
net user administration /active:no
to close out the real admin account. Not a perfect solution, but it
seemed to work.
