"Unknown command" means your mail account settings caused a
command to be sent that the server does not understand. Most
likely, this would be the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication"
setting, which should not be enabled. Go to Tools, Accounts, select the
Yahoo account, Properties, Servers, uncheck the appropriate box.
