When using Avast take a look at config.nt located in windows/system32. Which
is part of NTVDM (virtual dos manager). Advast adds a line in there that
will cause problems if you install any programs that need dos emulation.
Another side effect is the failed Advast auto update. I've had to uninstall
Advast
to be able to install some programs then reinstall.
