Are you running McAfee? If so, that's the problem. Go to the McAfee advanced
firewall settings, then go to "System Services" and check the box that says
"Network Time Protocol Port 123". After that try synching the clock again. It
may not work the first time or two that you try but eventually it will
successfully syncronize.
