I agree. I'm all about keeping things 'secure' and not letting people
steal, but at some point, I as a customer am going to say forget it and go
somewhere else. I've ponied up for my copy of legit Vista Ultimate but I
don't expect to have to prove it all the stinken time.

I'd be pissed if I walked into a store and on my way out I was asked where I
purchased everything I'm wearing and provide receipts for them.

A certain amount of reasonableness has to come into play. I didn't pay all
that money to sit on the phone talking to a computer (or even worse, someone
with a dialect I can't understand) that is giving me a hard time because my
key is already active.
