Re: Konica Minolta 2400W printer problem

Thanks for your respose, Rob. I had done everything as you described.
However, I decided to reinstall the printer driver just in case. I downloaded
the driver again, uninstalled the printer driver and reinstalled it.

It appears the second installation was better than the first because now I
get the KM information window. (I suspect the first installation was
corrupted because Windows Easy Transfer Companion copied the driver over from
the old XP computer and I didn't uninstall it before installing the new
driver. WETC causes more problems than it solves.) Unfortunately, the problem
remains. When I print, it still doesn't print. When I stop the service, the
KM window tells me all the things that might be wrong. When I restart it, the
document prints.

However, I have an idea to try. The KM window says I'm out of black toner.
I'm not; I think the toner cartridge indicator is defective because the
printer has been saying it's out of black toner since January but it's still
printing. I have a spare black toner cartridge; I will try swapping it in and
see if that solves the problem. Can't do it tonight, though; I'll try it next
weekend and will let you know what happens.
