Hi,

Assume that they can. You need to get in touch with your bank IMMEDIATELY to
put a stop to your account, because until you do you will be liable for any
fraudulent transactions on it. Your bank should tell you what to do next -
probably close the account and transfer the balance into a new one. If you
pay anything automatically out of your account, the bank should be able to
sort this out for you as well, but if not then it is your responsibility to
do so.
