What file types do you want to assign? Assigning *some* to that is
difficult, swapping them all over is easier.
The 64bit player isn't the default because third parties don't really fully
support 64bit yet. Same as with Internet Explorer. That'd be rude to leave
everyone else in the dust at this juncture. =)
If you're a poweruser, look up my previous references (many people have
referenced this externally) to /SwapTo:64 . (Don't forget the Path fix.)
With that in hand, you could track the registry changes and revert back what
you want to WMP-32. But a mixed environment probably won't really work
properly. If you tell me you work with disabled or autistic children I'll
probably be willing to figure out how to mostly get it to work best, but
it'd be a rather a headache, frankly, and you probably want me spending my
time doing more interesting things anyways. =)
