I have a Vista Business system printing to a Canon F50 that is LAN shared on an XP-Pro system. When I shared the printer, Vista did not ask for anything special, like the Canon F50 CD. It just accepted the drivers from the XP box. It works well for me. I generally print Word/Excel documents, IE/FF pages with graphics.
I did try to install the F50 drivers on the Vista system before I did the printer sharing, but Vista refused to accept the F50 drivers directly.
