Re: Stationery in Windows Mail

Kerry, you may want to take a look at the settings and requirements for
stationery here: http://richard-and-michaela.com You can click the first
link you see: 'viewing requirements' ...and also go to the drop-down menu to
'about and misc' > 'requirements & settings'. There you will see everything
you need for viewing advanced stationery in OE and Windows Mail including
excellent screenshots for the settings in OE and Windows Mail.

In IE, you only need to change one security setting: 'Allow script-initiated
windows without size or position constraint' ...from the defaults, and in OE
or Windows Mail, you only need to change 2 security settings: 'Internet zone
(Less secure, but more functional)' and uncheck 'Block images and other
external content in HTML e-mail'. We recommend that you do not change any
other settings from the default security settings.

Does the applet in the attached .eml work for you? It should if you have Sun
JRE only installed. For XP users, it will display in the .eml message and
Vista users will see an open button that when clicked will open the applet
in IE. We recommend that you do not install MS JVM since support for it ends
at the end of this year and Microsoft is telling everyone to move to Sun
JRE: http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java

You should not need to "tweak the registry" to view applets or anything else
in stationery including embedded EOTs, embedded flash, metacreations, etc.
if they are scripted correctly.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Richard

Hi, I am having the same problems, I have followed all of the instructions
given to me and the ones in the E-Book. I still cannot view the stationery
with Applets. Is there anything else we can do??
