Hi CMG,

First:
You will need to reset Vista's folder view settings so Vista will remember your settings again and prevent this from happening again. Method two in this tutorial will show you how. The download is the easiest way to do it.

Second:
You will need to change the "Folder Template" back to the correct one for that type of folder. Most will be the "All Items" template. Scroll down past the screenshots of the different templates to see how to do this in this tutorial.
