The only way to "roll back" is to purchase a copy of XP pro and format the
HD during the install.
Be aware that this will void your Laptop warranty....that you will need to
check the manufacturers website for XP drivers...and the recovery partition
will still revert you to Vista when used.
I can only say that it seems you did not do your due diligence before
purchasing a new Laptop with Vista.Most people check out the compatibility
of their hardware/software before spending big bucks on a new system with a
new OS.
