I have the
Gigabyte GT-PTV-AF-RH TV Tuner, for which I've downloaded the appropriate Vista x64 driver from the Gigbyte website (
www.gigabyte.com.tw). Media Center still cannot see the tuner, as it says "No Tuner Hardware Found" (although I can use the remote in a limited fashion). The Tuner is working, IF I use the bundled Cyberlink PowerCinema. I'd really prefer to use Windows Media Center.
Gigabyte tells me I need to install the MCECodec, which is provided by Cyberlink. Oddly enough, Cyberlink says they're only responsible for Cyberlink Powercinema, and need to contact the card manufactuer.
Gigabyte DOES have a download for XPMCE x64, but the installer says it won't work with Vista x64.
Where can I get the MCECodec so that my tuner card can work with MCE?
If there is no solution, perhaps a recomendation on replacing the Gigabyte tuner with one from another manufacturer that is proven to work with Vista x64 Media Center and that comes supplied with a
Media Center Remote Control?
