The "blue lines" make me think that you've got file selection set to
happen with one click instead of double-click. I've had difficulties
dealing with files when set like that, too. If this is the case and you
don't want the one click behavior (like on a webpage), then you can
change this to double-click from the Folder Options applet in Control
Panel. If you *do* want to keep the one click behavior, try
right-clicking/dragging on the files instead. When you let go of the
right mouse button, choose "Move" from the context menu.
