Problem solved, although it took some resourcefulness built on all of your
suggestions. I actually had to open my Vista "C" drive to sharing. Log into
my Windows XP-SP3 machine and add an Outlook 97-2002 personal folder, which I
immediatley replaced with the Vista generated Outlook.pst folder under
Outlook 97-2002, then backup to USB. Took to my office computer. Tried to
Import with same error. Finally, pasted a copy that I had brought along of
the Outlook.pst folder over the one at the office and it finally recovered my
Contacts. It's these kind of hassles that are dramatically increasing
Apple's market share! Two weeks of effort just to recover one's contacts.
Incredible!
