Re: error 800106ba and no way to reinstall it

Thanks I'll try what you suggested.

I also tried another trick a friend of mine suggested me.
I replaced the files in the folder crogram files\win defender with files
of another PC, same Vista version, where Defender was still running without
any problems.
Unfortunately, in his case this method worked, in mine nothing has
changed... :-(
