Sometimes it is the board, sometimes it is because all memory sticks are not
matched, sometimes it is because all sticks are matched, crazy as that
seems.
By matched, I mean EXACTLY the same. As performance grows, it becomes ever
more critical to ensure that the sticks are not just more or less the same.
You need to purchase matched pairs from a supplier like Corsair. They are
more expensive purchased like this, but high performance is more or less
guaranteed.

Also pay particular attention to slots. Matched pairs need to placed in the
same color slot
