I am sure installing software on a Vista system that the same prodcedure is recommended, close all programs. ENDITALL2 does not indicate it is Vista Ready. Is there a program available for Vista that will close all non-nedded Programs before you proceed to install New Software? A free one?
Actually, I think you've taken the message "close all programs" a little too literally.
This message is intended to protect any unsaved data you may have open in an application in case the installer for the new program requires a restart. In most cases, whether there are any applications open or not is irrelevant.
You can safely install your software without the need to close applications first, and you most certainly do not need a third-party utility to help with this. What happens if this utility closes something that it shouldn't (i.e. Something required by the installer service) ?
