Hi Ron,

Almost. You can delete messages as usual to send them to the "Deleted Items" folder, then set have it automatically empty the "Deleted Items" folder when you exit Windows Mail.

See these setting in Windows Mail main window:
1. Click Tools -> Options
2. Click Advanced tab
3. Click Maintenance button
4. Check "Empty messages from....."
5. Click Close and then OK
