Re: Windows Vista Explorer using 50% CPU all the time
There could be some causes....
1: New Vista installs take time to adapt itself to your machine (internal tuning) and usage habits (prefetch, cleanup...).
2. The folder/s you are opening require explorer to call an external program to scan the file (metadata, indexing, video icon previews...)
It might be from an external program explorer is calling having difficulty or related to interal stuff, do either of these sound like the cause?
Check the Performance logs under computer management and see if it has identify`d any root causes. |
