What type of battery? Ni-Cd batteries work best if they are charged up and
then drained before recharging - if you charge them when only partially
discharged they tend to take on that as a new depleted level - called
'memory'. Ni-MH work best if charged before they are completely drained
and exhibit no memory. Li-ion batteries are not supposed to be so
sensitive to the issue.
