If you don't work for Microsoft, you will not have a 'microsoft.com' e-mail
address.
Verizon can't set you up with a 'microsoft.com' address because they do not
have access to Microsoft mail server information.
What Verizon can do is set you up with a Verizon mail account.
Windows Mail will not handle HTTP mail, BUT Windows Live Mail will. Setting
up a Hotmail account in Windows Live Mail is as easy as following the
onscreen instructions.
