Another alternative 64 bit OS has released it to a wider developer
community already with plans to go public early in 2007.

I have approached various service providers and software providers and
asked if Vista 64 bit versions will be available soon.

The answer in all cases was along the lines of: when we have a stable 64
bit version of Vista available to use we will develop accordingly. At
the moment we have had nothing released to us so can't really do anything.

One (on the phone) remarked that quite a few people were running Vista 2
betas just to get used to it but not at work. it was an enthusiasm that
spilled over into their home/domestic life as the employer would not
permit a beta OS on company computers as a matter of policy.
