Your right I do not have time to learn audacity. I had to do a presentation in a week. Had over 83 wave sound files to adjust volume on so that they would be loud enough and consistent for the slide show.
I Know I can adjust them slightly in PowerPoint itself, but it was much easier for me to use the old MS sound recorder while I was recorder. I did not want to embed sound files into slides because I worked with the show itself without the presents of the kids recording the sounds and I wanted freedom to label and insert sound files anywhere in the show.
I loved the simple increase volume and decrease volume menu options on sound recorder. With the lack to do anything else but recorder why both even putting the program in the Windows software to begin with
