Odd connectivity issue I've been using Vista Business x64 for quite a while now and just recently I added a new w2k3 server w/sp2 with Exchange 2007 sp1 to the network. The new server is running VMWare with 2 MS VMs. The problem is that when I start to use Outlook or connect to the server via UNC it's unbearably slow. The ironic part is that I can connect to the VMs without any problem whether I have VMWare using the primary LAN adapter or not. If I am on the server I can UNC into my machine and move file w/o any issue; it's only when my machine makes a request to the new server. I can connect to other servers in the network w/o issue and other servers can connect to the new machine w/o issue. Externally I can use Outlook Anywhere and webmail. Actually, I have found that using webmail internally is fine and really the only way that I can use email all together. The systems are connected in the same subnet thru a nortel 3510 gigabit switch (I've tried turning off autonegotiation). If you have any thoughts on what might be going on it would be very helpful!
