I'm told this is a bad thing. If so can I transfer everything to a new
ordinary used account without going through all the setting up again?
Thanks

Hi Les,

It's really up to you. It is just more of a security risk running in a "Administrator" account versus running in a "Standard" account. If you want to, you can. All you need to do is to create a new "Standard" account and copy what you want to it from within the Administrator account, then logon and use the Standard account for everyday stuff and the Administrator account for when you want to make changes to the computer. Either way you will still have to have an Administrator account though. The main difference is that in the Administrator account you will have to click Allow or Continue to let something have full access to the computer. In a Standard account, you will have to type in the Administrator account's password to Allow or Continue.

User Account - Create

Hope this helps you decide,
