Windows is a multi-tasking operating system, in theory you can open hundreds
of windows and unless something weird happens or you overload the system a
bit, everything should work. If your games have stopped working there could
be something wrong with them.
Might try going into Windows Features, remove the games then install them
again.
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off >
Unselect "Games" (Uncheck) > press OK > go back into Turn Windows features
on or off > Select Games (Check), and press OK.
Try the games again, see if that helps. If not, update your video/audio card
drivers, respond here with your computer make and model.
