This could be one issue... I would def think about an upgrade to that PSU... although I'm sure you have check to make sure none of your drivers have auto updated from MS update.... sometimes a simple driver swap can play havek on your system... verify your DLed version to currently installed version.... your problem reminds me of a sound card issue I used to have... Vista apparently has issues with sound cards and drivers...
