Thanks for your help. After a false start, I installed the latest Netgear
software on my router, and was able to successfully set up and use the WPA
security with my Vista laptop.
One of the things I learned is that "WPA-PSK" in Netgear talk is
WPA-Personal in Vista-talk. I also had to select TKIP (as opposed to AES).
The process was nowhere near as automatic as either Netgear or Microsoft
promise.
